Using the WorkSafe Guardian Lone Worker App, workers can be proactive about their safety and set a welfare timer 24/7.
This allows users to automatically activate alerts based on predetermined time periods. If a welfare check-in is not acknowledged, an alert is automatically triggered, and a pre-planned response procedure is followed.
How the app works
Users can open the app, confirm their physical location, include additional information, and set a “welfare timer” for a specific duration of time. If the timer runs out or a user sets of an alert, a predetermined response procedure will be followed. If a user is in distress, they can send a safety alert with the;
press a button,
shake of their phone, or
asking Siri for help.
Our professionally monitored response centre will then call the user to assist them. If the user does not answer this call or confirms they are under duress, a pre-determined response plan is followed.
This may include the possible dispatch of a private security patrol, or the engagement of Emergency Services.
